Meditation

Meditation at Floating Leaf is rooted in Balinese tradition and the island’s living spiritual culture. Our retreat is guided by Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy of harmony between people and the divine, between people and each other, and between people and nature, and that balance shapes how we approach stillness and reflection.

In these articles, our founder Putu Maryam Rachman and the Floating Leaf team share what we’ve learned about meditation, healing and Balinese spiritual practice: how to recognize a genuine Balinese healer (balian), what sound healing with blessed singing bowls involves, and how traditional healing arts are woven into retreats here.

Floating Leaf’s open-air yoga shala, set among tropical gardens in Sukawati, is used daily for meditation, breathwork and sound healing. Whether you’re a retreat leader planning a meditation-focused program for your group or a guest looking for a quieter, more reflective stay in Bali, these stories offer a closer look at the practices behind the experience.
